
Minimalist, fresh and trustworthy
“Refresh everything” says new Pepsi marketing campaign bringing a new image to their products and to the whole brand.
Its not about only refreshing their logo or their cans, its about refreshing the world. I visited their site recently and got amazed by the innovation that the new marketing campaign offers. Pepsi as always, oriented to the youth of the world; now introducing the “refresh” phrase, wanting to bring some sort of optimism and “relax” feeling in this moments of crisis in the whole world; they say that their new logo its based on a smile, i don’t find it that way but maybe everybody will.

Pepsi`s new TV ads are totally oriented to their new image. Website now shows the commitment with the youth bringing a new facebook and youtube channel, introducing “refresh” spaces such as refresh music, refresh 2009, refresh mlb, refresh everything and refresh america, to show their optimistic side of all these things that are affecting the world by transmitting “fun” and a sharper image. Also they are promoting the phrase: Every generation refreshes the world, which is promoted in the whole new line of innovating TV ads.

Also promoting the new “pepsi throwback; which is made with natural sugar; with this they intend to give a retro look and to remember past pepsi`s generations.

Past campaigns of Pepsi always have been innovating like “generationext” and “el reto pepsi” as we nknow it here in Guatemala. Pepsi is a nice example of what an innovating and changing image is. Not getting stuck in one image or logo, innovating and making changes, adapting to the market and always showing optimism.
